After talking to so many of you here, as well as elsewhere , and constantly being asked what religion or denomination we follow we just had to answer this as descriptively as possible.
RELIGION - is organized faith, based on antiquated writings and dictated
to the masses as way of life determined by the vows of poverty, chastity,obedience and by laws or decrees that should not or cannot be changed . Writings that if they were to be believed, were written some 1500 hundred years ago by those who claim to have witnessed a course of events that they themselves could not comprehend.
That being said ; Today the simple act of striking a match to produce a flame would be considered a Miracle, let alone the creation of the cigarette !
We live in an age where we get from point a to point b in seconds, or to fly around the country in a matter of hours, ( Fly ? WOW ) We can even talk to someone in China from the U.S. without wires in a nanosecond, and hear their voice just as clearly as if they were in the same room. ( Without being on a mountain top, garden, or in a desert )
Simply put / A book of laws written by man to control man and exaggerated by the ramblings of some self proclaimed Soothsayer backed by the disillusioned rantings of a pack of Philistines.
An organized and carefully crafted book of ( CONTROL ) by those whose strength were shown by the number of their followers.
Now in the 21st century I have not seen nor witnessed any miracles. But what I have witnessed is the growing belief and pursuit of knowledge of a power greater than ourselves,our world,or even the known universe.
A power that escapes man's capability to comprehend its vast and infinite wisdom. A growing faith that man will someday
evolve to the level of this infinite and omniscient Being.
So you see I don't have a religion or any other form of institutionalized expression of belief /
But ! I do have
FAITH
